Najia Fatima

Born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan

Lives & works in Toronto, ON.

My work brings together the traditional art practices from Pakistan with the contemporary mediums that I’ve learned in Toronto. I explore cultural relations that influence the treatment of South Asian bodies and their representation in the media.

In the 2000's Pakistan witnessed an attack not only on our homes, but also on our identities.

I address this attack in my work as I reclaim this identity.
